The past week has been pretty good for Joshua. Still a few issues with getting him down for naps and sleep, but some nights he points to the crib and lays down without any fuss. Well, there is some fuss, but it has passed after a few minutes of cuddling. Bedtime is 7:30 but that often means 8:00 or a little after. Most nights he sleeps straight through. 6:00 is when he starts to stir and he's usually up by 7:00. We try to get his nap in between 1:00 and 3:00 but sometimes he falls asleep in the car or bike trailor and that can throw off the nap schedule.
We've been trying to help him along with words instead of the signs we taught him. He's using eat now, but still only signs for milk. I thought it would be easier since he is such a chatter box, but most of the time he just doesn't seem interested in saying the words as we say them. He certainly knows a lot of words, he can point to the objects as we say them. He signs for hungry, read, eat, milk, and more (which he often uses for want). Oh and he has used the sign for bird a few times.
He still likes sitting on the potty and we're working on getting him to let us know when he has to poop. That mostly consists of us trying to watch his body language and constantly asking if he needs to go. He gets really excited and is pleased with himself when he does go on the potty. We get pretty excited also.
